What people talked about Zazzle:
Question: #1: zazzle....?
I just started using this website, Zazzle, and itsays that I can create items and then publishthem, and then get paid a small amount for anyonewho buys something from me.... it all seems toeasy. I just want to be careful, do you have topay any sort of fee, or is it all really thissimple? Can someone who understands this websiteexplain to me everything that they can? Thankyouso much! :-) - asked by auf wiedersehen

Paper, Here's the deal on zazzle:You design a t-shirt logo, or graphics for a coffee mug, orwhatever. Someone is perusing the zazzlecommunity user designed artwork, and sees yourstuff, likes it, and buys a shirt with youruniquely designed print on it.You get a littleside commission for your art, and zazzle makes amuch bigger amount of money that will cover theshirt cost, the shipping, and the overhead andprofit for their end of it. That's it! There'sno financial hanky panky going on. I'm fairlysure there's no fee to you, the person designingthe art. It's a nice deal if you are an artsyperson, but I wouldn't leave your day job. -Kevin - answered by: Kevin

Question: #2: What would you improve about Zazzle marketplace?
If you have used zazzle, what top 3-4 thingswould you improve about it? - asked by racp

I love Zazzles! I just recently did quite a fewbumpers stickers, magnets and shirts. What I wouldlike to see:1. More options for font. The onesthere are good, but my company I was making thestickers for has their own font they use oneverything. So if I could have uploaded that wouldhave been cool.2. Different sizes and shape ofobjects. I really liked the bumper sticker, but Iwould have like to seen different sizes avail. Imade some magnets too, but they only came in 2sizes and shapes.3. Colors. Thetext/background/border colors are cool as is. Butit would be nice to have more options. 4. I knowalot of websites post what has been the mostpopular search or most looked at items. I wouldlike to see that. See what people are searchingfor, so I might make something that would interestothers. 5. Have clip art available. I had somesimple ideas, but no readily available clips thatwould have worked for the ideas. I did try to lookon the web, but most items were either too smallor too large for my needs. I hope I'm not beingstupid about the options on Zazzle. I tried toutilize it as much as I (the average user) wouldknow how. I hope this helps. I'm out there alotsurfing it for new ideas and looking at otherpeople works. - answered by: Swanky

Question: #5: How does Zazzle, custom product manufacture, produce images on a t-shirt? Does the imagequality great?
What machine or process do they have/do to produceimages on items? - asked by Gooble G

From what I under stand it is like silkscreening, but instead of pushing the ink through a screenwith a "Stencil" over it, the machine works likean inkjet printer and deposits the droplets insmall quantities on the face of the shirt. Thebest answer I found was in thisarticle.Zazzle is unique. The key to theirsuccess lies in the manufacturing process. WhileJeff and Bobby created the Web site, one ofRobert's main tasks was to perfect the technology. After building five machines that were all moreeffective than silk-screening, Robert was crushedto discover that one, new brand of Tide detergentwashed away 70 percent of the shirts' colors. Leftwith the decision to either warn consumers not touse this specific detergent or start over after ayear and a half, Robert and his sons opted todevelop another technique. The process they usetoday works with all detergents, and is faster andmore cost effective than silk-screening. "I thinkin general, there's this 'wow' factor that peopledon't really understand until they purchase. WhatZazzle is doing is taking something that isdigital and turning into something that is real, tangible. Customers experience a really meaningfuland personal end result from the site," Jeffsaid - answered by: cowboy_phil_73

Question: #8: Cafepress/ Zazzle/ Printfection online stores -anyone get their artwork ripped off?
Has this happened to anyone?I though about settingup shop, but some of these stores I can actuallycopy these shirt designs to my computereffortlessly. So what's to stop a ripoff artistfrom doing that to me? - asked by Ringading

You may easily copy and save files from these stesto your computer, but once you try to print them, you will notice a problem. There are differentways that these sites choose to protect your work. Some put the obvious logo across the art, some ofthe art can be right clicked on but then it savesas a blank image. Most likely all of them are suchlow resolution that once you print them it comesout all pixelated. Then if someone chooses to copyyour image and turn around and sell it as theirown, the site will not accept it because of thelow resolution.I have been on (and have many closefriends) Redbubble .com for a while and never hada problem. I also use zazzle.com andcafepress.comWhen deciding on the site you want touse, make sure to read their policies onprotecting art. Good luck! - answered by: *Starburst*
