Question: #1: How can you tell If a set of pfaltzgraff dishes are reproduction?
I bought this set of pfaltzgraff dishes atGoodwill yesterday. I looked them up on ebaybecause I want to buy some more pieces and I needto replace a plate. I believe the pattern is"folk art". According to this one seller thispattern was popular in the seventies anddiscontinued. But they also said you had to becareful not to buy a reproduction set. So I needto know how to tell if they are reproduction. Ijust want to know so they will match as good aspossible. Thanks!!

I have already searched Pfaltzgraff.com, ebay &everywhere else online. I have also searched myclosest Paltzgraff factory outlet store & giventhem my number in case they do ever get any instock. I also continue to search ebay on a dailybasis. I am looking for two bowls, one for foodand one for water. If any one can help, it wouldbe most appreciated!

I think you have done all you can do. eBay is thebest place to look for that type of thing. If youhaven't already, create an automated search sothat eBay emails you if anybody lists the item youare looking for. It may take some time, but Ihave found many things this way.Alternatively, youcould use a regular Delicious set of bowls.. itwon't be the same, but at least will match yourdecor.Good luck! - answered by: Teri

I collect Pfaltzgraff "Yorktowne" stonewear and some of my pieces are pretty badly scratched frommetal utensils. Just wondering if there is a wayto remove those scratches. Is there a polish orsomething I can pick up, and if so, where can Iget it?

Pfalzgraff (I think it's spelled this way) is madein Germany, and like other manufacturers ofdishes, etc. they produce lots of differentstyles, etc. My wife has Pfalzgraffand dinnerwareand other stuff wityh different patterns. But shehas nothing speckled.I don't know how old thecompany is or whether their pieces command higherprices as theur designs become old and rarer. Iimagine there's a web-site you can check-out. I placed an ear of corn on a plate and after a fewminutes we smelled something burning. The platewas cracked all over and like burned. The cornwas ok.
