Question: #2: Why Golfsmith have a poor online ordering?
I ordered some Golf stuff on Sept. 3 2007 on Golfsmith website www.golfsmith.com . Until now, the status is still "Being processed". And mycredit card is already charged for the items. Doyou have the same experience with Golfsmith?
- asked by RBK
You're right, they suck. I use tgw.com. Theyalways have stock, have a $5 flat fee forshipping, and because they don't have a store inNew York State, there's no sales tax if you livein New York. Could be the same for your state. Ican't say any of that about Golfsmith. You can tryeBay but the pricing for the quality brand name ofclubs is no bargain and you always have anexpensive shipping charge. - answered by: toughnottobeacynic View All Answers (4)
Question: #3: Have you ever been to Golfsmith Store in San Francisco?
How's the customer service? Do the staff treatyou nice? How about the prices?
- asked by rbkgolfshop
Yup, it was a mid-size store in downtown. When Iwent there on one evening during work days, therewere only 2 staffs in the cashier. I bought aRange Finder (which I returned the next daybecause it was broken). The cashier was veryunprofessional in talking to me (which was a youngguy ). He talked to me like this when Iapproached him:"What'ssup man." When I gave himmoney. "Dude, do you have smaller bill?". Thenhe just wrapped up the binocular and says nothing. No thank you and have a good day?? What kind ofa store is this golfsmith?? - answered by: Rob View All Answers (3)
Question: #4: Are the golfsmith iron sets a good deal?
I went there and tried them and they felt good. I just wanted to get a second opinion.
- asked by maggots3450
It really depends on what your are looking for inyour irons. Golfsmith clubs have decentforgiveness and the custom built factors to thinkabout, but they are terrible in workability andoverall feel in general. If you are a betterplayer, you will notice a huge difference in thefeel and workability of these clubs. If you are amid to high handicapper, then the custom fittingand forgiveness is actually pretty nice. Dont kidyourself, just because you built the club custom, doesn't mean it is a good club. I can build a Kiacustom, but it still wont be a ferarri... Comparethe golfsmith clubs to similar types of clubs madeby the name brands. Do as much research as youcan before you make your decision. Irons are veryimportant, ask Tiger..... He has been playing withthe same shafts and type of irons (forged blades)since he was 14. The name brand might havechanged, but the general set up has not. - answered by: cdc View All Answers (5)

Question: #10: What is the better place to get a golf lesson?
I bought my clubs at Golfsmith. I see they give lessons there. They also give lessons at my localgolf course. Which is usually a better place toget lessons, at the golf course or in a golf storelike Golf Smith?
- asked by Brandon S
It depends on how good the pro is at eachlocations. If the course is just a cheap publiccourse, the pro probably isn't the best. If it isa country club or reputable public course thosewould be better places to get lessons. By takingthem at a course you have the oportunity to usethe driving range or putting green. At at golfstore you can only hit into a net or a simulator. - answered by: marist34 View All Answers (3)
