Question : Has anyone bought a Bowflex and does it really work?
I'm sure you've all seen the ads on TV. If you work out with the Bowflex just 20 minutes a day, 3 times a week, that in no time you start getting results. I'd like to develop my abs and upper body but I'm skeptical about the Bowflex. Wouldn't diet be almost as important? Has anyone bought one of these machines and what kind of results have you experienced?

Answer #2 I have one. I dont really like the workoutanymore. I prefer freeweights. And yes, to getresults you need diet and exercise. You cantusually just do one thing to get a "bowflex" body. It requires a whole lifestyle change. Good diet, little to no alcohol, lots of exercise, bothresistance training as well as cardio. I spend ahalf hour on cardio and 2 hours with weights and Icertainly dont have a bowflex body, but I alsohave different goals. - answered by zebj25
Answer #3 I have a bowflex and it definitely works. Youwill notice results but I think the bowflex islike a supplement in a way. Use it with freeweights and you will notice very good results. I'll tell you what the first time I used thatbowflex I was hurtin :) If you are just lookingto tone out our abs or toning bowflex alone isperfect, if you want to gain a lot of size, thereis nothing better than free weights. 3 workouts aweek (but I'd try to at least go for an hour) ofheavy lifting will make any person gain asignificant amount of size if your diet is full ofprotein in a relatively short period of time. - answered by burgler09
