Question: #2: Affiliate Program on my Prostores?
I am planning on launching an online business on Ebay's company Prostores. There are three maintiers, Business, Advanced and Enterprise costingroughly $30, $75 and $250 per month respectively. You are able to create and manage your ownaffiliate program (courtesy of Prostores) if yousubscribe to Enterprise. Does anyone know if I canuse a third party service to create an affiliateprogram if I use one of the lower tiers (otherthan enterprise). Also, is this okay withProstores, or is it not allowed?

Question: #4: should a use yahoo stores or prostores for my online shopping cart?
I am having trouble deciding on shopping cartsoftware - any suggestions
- asked by thomas o
I don't know about online shopping, but I have abetter suggestion. Online stores are so expensive, have you ever thought of a personal shopper? Ihave my own business and I provide shopping forgifts and clothing at low prices. I go out of myway to find sales, discount, clearances, etc, tosave you money on the products you want and shipthem straight to your door! If your everinterested, let me know. You can email me atbridgetspersonalshopping@yahoo.com or visit mywebsite http://www.aimpages.com/bridgetsps/profile.html oryou can visit Bridget's Personal Shopping on yahoo360. But if your stuck on online shopping, I'mpretty sure that you don't need software. I'veonly bought from the AOL store and eBay and theyworked pretty well and I just added items to thecart automatically. Other than that just watch forthe security sign on the bottom to know you cantrust the site. Hope I helped and Good Luck! - answered by: bcch89 View All Answers (1)
Question: #5: How do I charge for shipping with my ebusiness?
I just started an estore using Prostores, which I love, but I am totally lost on charging forshipping. I'm used to ebay where it was done forme. Any suggestions on how to put together achart using USPS. Should I charge by the price orby the weight. My products weigh between 2-8ounces so the weight is not a lot. Which if moreeffective? Any tips / suggestions would begreatly appreciated.
- asked by avonwrenn@sbcglobal.net
The USPS charges by weight & size. It might bebest to take your package to the post office andhave them tell you how to figure it. Ifeverything you're shipping is roughly the samesize & weight, it will be easy to estimate thecost. http://www.freewebs.com/texasscents-sa/ - answered by: satx728 View All Answers (2)

Question: #9: Can major search engines look into a database? We're using ProStores and we want to know ifkeywords are seen.
Years ago we were told that search engines scanthe text in STATIC web pages but could not seeinformation in databases. Recently we were toldthat Google could scan data stored in ProStoresdatabase. Is this true AND can other searchengines (Yahoo & AltaVista)
- asked by CID
I am not familiar with Prostores database. i willassume that this is a flatfile database of sometype. If my assumption is correct, then YES, thesearch engines can see the contents of this"database". HOWEVER, with proper security, youcan eliminate this possibility. With MySQL orMSSQL, the answer is no....the database isprotected from unauthorized viewing with a username and password........again.......with propersecurity (keeping the database on a differentsystem behind the firewalll....you are safe fromunauthorized access. - answered by: Jeffrey F View All Answers (1)
