Question: #1: Has anybody tried InsureMe.com insurance leads? Is it good?
- asked by h g
I have tried several of those lead companies wherepeople and businesses go on line and complete aquestionairre to get a rate. Basically these arejust a waste of your time. Most of these leadsare people just price shopping. In 2006, I spentroughly $500 on such leads. My return oninvestment was a single dinky little sale thatended up cancelling 5 months later because theywent out of business.Because of the volume ofinquiries, I wasted too much time chasingmirages.DONT DO IT. - answered by: Frank View All Answers (4)

If you really want online leads, I'd suggestconsidering starting your own site. Rather thanspending, say, $700-$1000 on leads that may or maynot even be entirely yours, why not get your ownsite going and spend a few bucks on yahoosponsored search, making your keywords specificenough to your region that it won't cost you anarm and a leg for the clicks? That way the folksmight just be local enough that you can call themand (gasp) make an actual appointment and doproper business rather than just deliver phonequotes to distant people.I know I won't spendmoney on someone else's leads.Or here's anotheridea: if you get a REALLY successful leadgenerating site, do what business you can and sellthe leads you cannot get to yourself.Remember, though, internet shoppers, by and large, are allabout price. I'll be surprised when I hear fromone asking for anything but the quote. - answered by: Bright Future Penguin View All Answers (4)
Question: #3: Has anyone invested with FLUENT USA, inc? Did it really lead to clients calling you?
I work in insurance and I just moved into a newmarket. I've been busy buying leads from variousvendors (netquote, insureme, hometown quotes) andI stumbled to Fluent usa, Inc. This company isasking for about $12,000 (for patents to implementsomething into search engines) from me and inreturn they will deliver real clients to me. I'mjust wondering if anyone has done business withFluent. Or do you know of other lead sources?

My advice with ANY lead company is to stay awayfrom anyone that requires more than $100-200 upfront. 99% of the time they end up being SCAMS!Isuggest HometownQuotes and NetQuote. - answered by: Matt M View All Answers (1)
